- Trail of Lights: This town, with its rich history rooted in Italian heritage, has a yearly Christmas light display of over 100,000 lights that illuminate traditional Christmas imagery and culturally significant symbols as well. Head to the town of Valdese between 6 PM – 9 PM by Christmas Eve in order to see the sights!
- High Country Lights: What’s better than seeing an animated light show from the comfort of your vehicle? Park your car in the designated area near the Glade Creek Fire Department in Ennice by 6 PM, get the family settled into the car with snacks, tune the radio in to 96.5 FM, and watch the animated light show. Thousands of LED lights will provide hours of intrigue for the whole family!
- Chetola’s Festival of Lights: When you visit Chetola Resort at Blowing Rock through the end of January, you can drive around Chetola Lake to take in the sights of the meticulously assembled display. HIghlights include a nativity scene, ice skaters, and Rudolph himself!
- Christmas Town USA: In its 60th year of celebrating Christmas with a dazzling two-mile light display, the town of McAdenville transforms once a year into Christmas Town USA, nationally recognized for its beauty. A quick two-mile drive through McAdenville will afford you the opportunity to glimpse Santa, more than 200 wreaths, and almost 400 decorated trees!
