Frank Myers Auto Comments On Gas Saving Hyundai Line-Up

One year ago, Hyundai promised to become the leading manufacturer in fuel economy. Hyundai has delivered by topping the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy report. Hyundai passed all major manufacturers in Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) including traditional leaders like Honda and Toyota. The report demonstrates the effectiveness of Hyundai’s value-driven fuel-efficiency strategy, which focuses on the intelligent application of cost-effective technologies. The report also backs up Hyundai’s leadership in the race to achieve the government-mandated 2016 CAFE standard of 35.5 miles per gallon.

The EPA 2009 Light-Duty Automotive Technology and Fuel Economy Trends Report indicates that Hyundai has the highest MY 2009 laboratory 55/45 fuel economy with 30.1 miles per gallon (mpg). Hyundai is also the only manufacturer to top 30 mpg in the report.

“Hyundai’s thoughtful application of cost-effective, fuel-efficient technologies helped them achieve their goal of leading the industry in fuel economy ahead of schedule,” said Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx (a used car dealership in Winston-Salem, NC). “With gas prices rising once again, we hope that our customers begin to understand how much Hyundai really cares about helping people save money by developing great cars that are really good on gas.”

Frank Myers Auto Announces Record-Breaking Month

WINSTON SALEM, North Carolina—Frank Myers Auto Maxx today announced an all-time sales record for both the first quarter of the year and for the month of April as the car dealership has clearly connected with car buyers across the state of North Carolina and the country.

The announcement was made from the floor of the Benton Convention Center where the company also announced a partnership with GMAC SmartAuction.

In April, the dealership was up 26.1 percent versus one year ago, marking the eighth consecutive month of year-over-year gains for Frank Myers Auto. And for the quarter, the dealership outpaced the previous record which was the first quarter of 2005. These gains indicate that April marks the dealerships emergence as one of America’s best-selling used car dealerships. Some of the best selling vehicles at the dealership include the Camry, Accord, Altima, Fusion, and Chevy Malibu. “It’s gratifying to announce these strong results in an economy and a job market that’s still struggling,” said Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx. “We’re confident that the popularity of our free Lifetime Engine Warranty and our Everybody Rides program will allow us to sustain this strong sales momentum.”

“Things You Will NEVER Hear From Your Mechanic” – Part 4

Frank Myers Auto Maxx Presents:

Things You Will NEVER Hear From Your Mechanic – Part 4
“You might be charged for work that hasn’t been done.”
It happens on purpose. It happens by mistake. Either way, it happens. Let’s say you drop your car off at the garage to have the fluids, belts and filters replaced. But the garage is busy, the mechanic who works on your car is a new hire, and the station manager hasn’t left very clear instructions. As a result, the belts never get replaced, but you drive away thinking you’ve got brand-new ones. When Gillis worked at the Department of Transportation in the 1980s, he says it was one of the most common complaints, and that it remains so today.

A good way to avoid the problem of work that was supposed to have been done but wasn’t: Ask to see the old parts. In some cases, mechanics can give you the parts they’ve removed from your car. (One exception is if the warranty requires they be sent back to the manufacturer.) “If you have a concern that a part was replaced when it shouldn’t have been, you should ask for it back,” says Mehl. (Rules vary by state; in California, for example, mechanics can give parts to customers.) California residents can contact BAR, and it’ll send a representative to examine the customer’s invoice and the part. “If it’s not faulty, we can take disciplinary action,” she says.

In addition, Robert Thomas (the Director of Service at Frank Myers Auto Maxx in Winston-Salem, NC) suggests taping to your steering wheel an itemized list of all the repairs you want made. That way the mechanic who works on it — in most cases not the person you talked to when you drove in — will have direct instructions from you.

Owner Of Frank Myers Auto Responds To News Of GM Loan Payback

Winston-Salem, NC Chevy DealerEd Whitacre, General Motors Chairman and CEO, announced Wednesday that the automaker has paid back $8.4 billion in government loans related to its historic restructuring.

The final payment of $5.8 billion to the U.S. Treasury and Canadian development interests has been made about five years ahead of schedule, and includes interest, Whitacre announced to a crowd in Kansas City.

“It’s great news from my perspective because if you think back only a year ago General Motors was shedding a lot of workers, their volumes were going down and there was a lot of despair in the auto industry as they (GM) headed towards bankruptcy,” Tracy Myers, owner of a North Carolina car dealership, said following the announcement. “The landscape of the company and our entire industry is so much different than it was a year ago and as a result consumer around the world should feel pretty good about buying GM products again.”

Whitacre’s message was delivered amid a ceremony held in Kansas, where a nearby GM plant and another in Detroit will share $257 million in investment related to the company’s popular Chevrolet Malibu sedan.

Of Whitacre’s message, Myers said two good things he takes away from it is that the money has been paid back and the automaker is announcing investment.
