Frank Myers Auto Announces February Sales Pro Of Month

Frank Myers Auto Maxx is pleased to announce that Mr. Mike Thomas has been named the Non-Commissioned Sales Pro of the Month for the month of February. To capture the top spot for the second month in a row, Mike sold 22 and a half cars. That number of vehicles is the 3rd most number ever sold in the history of the dealership. The only employees to have ever sold more than Mike was his father, Robert Thomas (now Director of Service) and Tracy Myers (now the owner).

Thomas was selected as February 2011 Non-Commissioned Sales Pro of the month for his world-class performance and award-winning accomplishments in the automotive solutions department. What he likes best about working at Frank Myers Auto Maxx is helping folks drive home in the car of their dreams…especially after other dealerships have told them no. Thomas also mentioned how much he enjoys the family atmosphere.

Mastermind of Possibilities at Frank Myers Auto, John Bodenheimer, stated “Mike has come a long way since he started and really deserves this honor. He has become our top sales professional for the month of February and we are all proud of him. His commitment to his profession make it a joy for all of his teammates to be around him on a daily basis.”

Head Honcho, Keith Bowman stated “Mike made it a personal goal to be on top of the pile for two months in a row. It inspires me that he was dedicated to making his dream a reality. To have been able to sell nearly 23 cars takes something special…like tiger blood flowing through his veins. It is no surprise to me that he made sales pro of the month. If he continues to be as great as he was in February, I would expect him to be the sales pro of the month every month.”

North Carolina Used Car Dealers Get Extension On Carolina Clunkers Program

The “Carolina Clunkers” program has been wildly successful in stimulating the local economy so the  participating dealerships have been given the authorization to extend the program into February.  The original program was slated to come to an end January 29, 2011, but will be continued for a short time.

Under the NEW “Cash for Clunkers Carolina” or “Carolina Clunkers” (program, consumers will get paid as much as $4,500 more than your current vehicle is worth towards any nicer, newer vehicle from a participating new car dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and purchase or lease a nicer, newer qualifying vehicle.

In order to be eligible for the program, the trade-in passenger vehicle must be in drivable condition. Transactions must be made between Jan 29, 2011 and when the funding runs out for the program (currently scheduled to be February 26, 2011). This is a limited time sale promotion.

FUNDING FOR THE PROGRAM

The CASH FOR CLUNKERS CAROLINA or CAROLINA CLUNKERS (CARS) program is a privately funded program that helps consumers buy or lease a nicer, newer vehicle from a participating dealer when they trade in a “clunker” car or truck. Any drivable vehicle is eligible regardless of the age, mileage or condition. Both domestic and imported vehicles are eligible for the program.

HOW IT WORKS

The dealers are not reimbursed by any other government program or taxpayer-supported program. The vehicles traded in under the CASH program will be disposed of at the selling dealer’s discretion.

Winston-Salem Used Car Dealer Awaits Used Fiats As Chrysler Dealers Ponder New Deal

Frank Myers Auto is excited about pre-owned Fiats

Fiat returns to the United States & is expected to be a hit in NC.

After a 30-year absence, Fiat is coming back to the United States and now Chrysler dealers have to decide whether they want to sell the Italian brand that initially will offer just one model, the tiny Fiat 500.

About 400 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers who want to sell Fiats met at a meeting in Detroit Monday, were told that the exotic minicar at first will be the only 2011 model in their Fiat showrooms.

Chrysler, which is now controlled by Italy’s Fiat, was short on specifics such as price and future models. A larger model was promised, although covered by a tarp.

50,000 of the stylish, bulb-shaped 500s are expected to be sold by Chrysler the first year they arrive. Eventually four versions will be offered, a standard 500, a cloth-top convertible, a high performance version with up to 185 horsepower, and in 2012, an electric version, the dealers said.

Fiat-run Chrysler Group LLC wants the 500 to become a strong contender in the U.S. small-car market, where the Detroit automaker has struggled for years. The car will be sold by about 165 Chrysler Group dealers in 125 mainly big-city markets starting in December. Chrysler hopes the tiny Italian car will help its lackluster sales.

Dealers will be asked to build separate showrooms and have separate sales and service staffs for the cars, in order to help create a distinctive European aura for the 500.

Many dealers were impressed, but some were left with questions about whether it would be worth the investment because future models were not unveiled. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne, who also runs Fiat, has said that Fiat dealers will get first shot at selling the Alfa Romeo brand when it returns to the U.S. in 2012.

But the dealers were happy for a chance to sell a competitive small car, because they have had little to offer in the segment.

“There’s no doubt about it. It’s a home run,” said Alan Helfman vice president of River Oaks Chrysler Jeep in Houston. “It’s not going to make it from day one, but it will be a good seller, and it’s a market I don’t play in right now.”

Helfman, whose dealership is near Rice University, said the car will appeal to younger people who care about the environment and fuel economy.

Tracy Myers, who owns a used car dealership in Winston-Salem, North Carolina was excited about the opportunity to offer another fuel efficient compact car to his pre-owned car shoppers near Greensboro and High Point, NC.

“I’m going to eagerly waiting for it to hit the used car market. I’m going to do everything I can to get my hands on the first used Fiats to enter the pre-owned marketplace in the Carolinas,” Myers said.

How To Increase The Value Of Your Trade…Even In A Down Market!

Winston Salem used car dealer offers more for trades

A few easy steps will get you more money for your trade-in.

You want to buy a new car but you’ve still got the old one you’ve got to get rid of.

Many people need to get some cash out of their old car in order to get into a new one. So getting the most for your trade is often a major consideration.

Here’s a few tips on how you can get more money for your old car.

Clean It Up. Give you car a good wash – don’t just run it down to the gas station car wash. Scrub the car, especially around the bottom of the car where dirt and road debris can really make a mess.

You may also considering getting a professional detail job. While the price can seem a little high, the deep clean they provide will go far beyond what you can do yourself.

Wax It. Most people are surprised at what a good coat of wax can do to a car’s finish. It can take weather beaten paint and give it new life and a nice shine.

The way your car looks reflects how well you’ve cared for it over the years. Careful cleaning is the single most important step you can take to ensuring a fair trade-in valuation.

Make It Smell Good. Use some Fabreeze or car deodorizing spray. If you are a smoker this is very important. You don’t want your car to smell like an ash tray at trade in time.

Get An Oil Change. Old oil shows that maintenance has not been a priority.

Wipe Down The Engine Compartment. It’s probably pretty messy in there. Give it a wipe down with a damp cloth and pay particular attention to any areas that are especially grimy. Clean the top of the battery and the terminals too.

If the battery terminals are corroded you can use a mixture of baking soda and water to clean them. Let the solution sit on the crud and they rinse with water.

Decide Whether To Buy Tires. Some dealers prefer matching tires because that’s how they sell vehicles on their lots. If the tires are new, however, you may not want to bother.

Fix The Windshield. If you have any dings or cracks get these repaired. Many times windshield repairs can be covered by insurance if the problems are bad enough.

Once a crack starts to spread, the whole windshield has to be replaced, and a dealer will deduct the repair cost from the trade-in.

Bonus Tips: Consider fixing obvious mechanical and body problems, especially big dents and scratches (door dings are OK). But forget about pricey repairs, or you may spend more than you’ll get back.

And maybe (most importantly), be realistic. Most owners are too optimistic about what their cars will fetch in an honest trade-in. To come up with an honest trade-in price, dealers consider what they would pay for a car like yours at a wholesale auction and then subtract what it would cost to repair and clean your car.

Dealers don’t go by price guides, such as the “blue book,” as rigidly as you may think. This is guaged more by what dealers see happening at the auction. Generally, a car dealer will attend the auction at least twice a week.

But to get a very rough idea of what to expect for your trade-in, consider some point between the book trade-in and loan values as a starting point (remember to subtract the cost of all necessary repairs and detailing).

Forget about asking for or getting the retail price for your trade. Dealers rarely get that much when they sell the car to the next buyer.

Unlikely Educator Spurs Economic Growth With Alphabet

Frank Myers Auto has made used car buying easy as ABC

Used car buying easy as ABC in Winston Salem, NC

WINSTON SALEM – At it once again is the uncommon car dealer, Tracy Myers from Frank Myers Auto Maxx, just in time for the new school year to begin. Myers says his new approach to owning a nicer, newer car will simplify your life and help the local economy.

“Let’s face it…everybody wants a nicer, newer car. And buying a car is great for the economy! A better car can help you get to work, get your kids to school on time and in style, plus it helps me keep a lot of good people employed here at my business…not to mention the countless other folks who work to design, build, transport, maintain, fuel and insure the vehicles,” explained Myers.

Myers says that buying a car doesn’t need to be complicated or stressful. He believes that there’s a lesson to be learned from grade school. “My kids are getting ready to head back to school, and that got me thinking about learning the ABCs and 123s – and how, back in school, life was simple and fun. I think buying a car should be simple and fun too…so I created the ABCs of Car Buying.”

This “back to school” themed sale makes this month an excellent time to upgrade to a newer car, truck van or SUV.  Here’s how it works:

A: We’ll pay $1000 more than fair market value for any trade, whether it’s paid for or not.

B: Bring in just $500.00 for a down payment, and you can drive away the same day

C: Credit is not an issue. We work with the most helpful lenders in the country and understand that bad things happen to good people. Our goal this month is 100% approval.

“We always have fun here at Frank Myers Auto Maxx but this month is going to be something to remember. We’re helping the schools, helping the kids, helping the economy and helping you too. It’s never been easier to get a nicer, newer car!”

The generous trade-in allowance was inspired by the popular Cash For Clunkers program initiated by President Obama, which proves even car dealers can learn a thing or two.

“People are still talking about Cash For Clunkers…which happened one year ago this month. I pay attention to what my customers want. They’ve been asking for Cash For Clunkers to come back, and I’m giving it to them. I thought back to school time was the perfect time to show off what I’ve learned!” explained Myers.

Why Is August A Good Month To Buy?

Many people don’t realize that the new car manufacturers start releasing next year’s models this time of year. That means that every car at the dealership essentially turns one year older this month than it was last month. That extra month drives prices down making August one of the best times of year to buy.

Banged Up Credit From The School of Hard Knocks?

“At Frank Myers Auto Maxx, we realize that things have been pretty tough the past few years. We’re really good at helping you overcome the bruises on your credit report that you’ve earned from living in the real world. We believe in helping people make a fresh start. Come in and give us a chance to help,” says Myers.

ABCs Make Buying A Car Fast, Fun and Easy

What will you do with the extra money you receive for your trade-in? You could use it to lower your monthly payments. You could use it to be able to afford “more car” for your money. You could use it to pay off other bills. You could even use it buy all new clothes for your kids before school starts. It’s entirely up to you.

Come in to Frank Myers Auto Maxx located at 4200 N. Patterson Avenue in Winston-Salem, NC or pre-register for the sales event at https://www.FrankMyersAuto.com and buy a nicer, newer vehicle before August 30 and take advantage of $1,000 more for your trade, $500 down payments, and more lenient credit requirements.
