The offer will help alleviate the stress and confusion recently felt by Honda owners. Frank Myers Auto Maxx Offers Free Honda/Toyota Inspections

528,000 vehicles were recalled     today by Japanese automaker Honda due to a defect with the cylinder that holds brake fluid.

A Honda spokeswoman said that the defective cylinders were built by the same Ohio-based supplier, ADVICS, that was involved with the recall of 1.5 million Toyota vehicles worldwide to fix a brake fluid leak that it warned can gradually diminish braking performance.

“Our supplier is the one who actually notified us of the issue,” said Honda spokeswoman Christina Ra.

List Of Recalled Used Honda & Used Toyota Vehicles

The recall affects 2005 to 2007 model years of the Acura RL and Honda Odyssey vehicles built at Honda’s Saitama, Japan plant. It also affects the 2005 through 2006 Toyota Avalon, 2004 through 2006 Toyota Highlander (non Hybrid) and Lexus RX330, and 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250, and IS350 vehicles.

The bulk of the affected vehicles were exported to the United States.

There have been no accidents or injuries related to the defect, Ra said.

Honda said its recall was to “prevent the unlikely failure of a seal in the brake master cylinder.”

The seal could fail if factory-installed brake fluid is replaced with substandard brake fluids that have “reduced lubrication properties.”

If that were to happen, the low brake fluid warning lamp would light up, Honda said.

It cautioned that “failure to repair the master cylinder seal would eventually result in a soft brake pedal and the possible loss of one of the two hydraulic braking circuits.”

Toyota spokesman Paul Nolasco said that the majority of (Toyota) vehicles this time around need to be fixed for a problem with the brake master cylinder which could lead to weaker braking power.

Frank Myers Auto Maxx Makes Odd Discovery In Trunk Of Traded-In Auto

Winston-Salem, NC residents are completely stunned and puzzled by the discovery of a “strange thing” in the trunk of a traded-in vehicle at Frank Myers Auto Maxx.

“We just took this car in on trade. Then while cleaning it up, we popped open up the trunk and there it was,” explains Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx.

“I just stopped short and my jaw fell open. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Frankly it’s kind of creepy. It’s like a car accident… you can’t take your eyes off the thing,” says Myers.

Used Car Dealer In Winston-Salem Asks For Help

Some are calling it a hoax, but others believe with conviction that it’s authentic. One thing is certain…neither group is exactly sure what this thing really is.

Some visitors think it’s an evil mermaid. To others it’s an alien, a goblin or an elephant made out of earwax, or, as one customer described it, “my dad at 6am”. What ever it is, it’s definitely not something easily recognizable.

Myers is asking local residents if they know what this thing is. He has placed a “guess book” next to the creature where visitors can make their best guess as to what it may be.

What Is The “Trunk Monster?”

An intriguing letter found with the strange thing, which is currently being referred to as “The Trunk Monster” by the employees of Frank Myers Auto Maxx, explains how this “monster” may have been preserved. This letter is also on display at the dealership.

People from all walks of life are arriving in droves at Frank Myers Auto Maxx to grasp a gander. Believers in extra-terrestrial life are certain it is a visitor from another universe. Academics are ambivalent or think it is a hoax, but are still baffled and repulsed by the “strange thing.”

What is known for a fact is that the “curiosity” is old, dead and ugly.
